The trip began in New York City on Tuesday 25th November. No sooner had Steve landed than he was immersed in a behind-the-scenes introduction to the client’s media and events infrastructure. Steve was warmly welcomed into a celebration hosted by the client’s team, joining staff and their families to mark the holiday together. The formal meeting spaces had been cleverly transformed into child-friendly activity zones, creating a relaxed, inclusive atmosphere. From a panoramic spot overlooking the bustling Macy’s Parade, Steve watched the city come alive. With clear skies and a vibrant crowd below, the procession delivered everything from show-stopping performances by HUNTR/X from K-Pop Demon Hunters and Cynthia Erivo (from Wicked), to an eclectic mix of balloons and floats featuring beloved Marvel heroes, classic cartoon favourites, and imaginative recreated scenes. Adding to the exuberance of the day, Steve even managed to background-snap a cheeky photo of the legendary Kool & the Gang – fresh from their parade performance – who just happened to be staying at his hotel. “I felt incredibly honoured to be invited into something so special,” Steve said. “There was a genuine sense of family, and to be part of that – even for a day – was deeply humbling. Moments like these remind us that long-term partnerships aren’t built in boardrooms alone; they’re rooted in trust, shared experiences, and mutual respect. It was a real privilege, and it’s these kinds of connections that truly deepen our relationships with global clients.” Later that evening, the celebrations continued with a traditional New Yorker-style Italian Thanksgiving dinner – rounding off a day filled with warmth, laughter, and a strong sense of shared values. He paid his respects at Ground Zero – a sobering and powerful experience – before hopping aboard the Staten Island Ferry to take in the majestic view of the Statue of Liberty. He also managed a visit to Katz’s Deli, where he sampled one of their famously oversized pastrami sandwiches, and stumbled upon a retro pinball arcade tucked away in central Manhattan – a nostalgic passion-point hit, and unexpected gem in the middle of the city buzz. The week progressed with further technical discovery, exploring the client’s AV estate and operations in greater detail, providing insights that will directly inform ongoing projects across EMEA. The trip concluded in Atlanta, where Steve visited the client’s US headquarters and met with senior leadership. These in-person conversations reinforced the strength of the partnership – built on shared values, strategic alignment, and a long-term vision for delivering impactful, intelligent AV solutions.
