After laying the foundations for Premier Foods’ AV transformation and becoming their trusted partner, BoomSpace were invited to lead the next phase: a nationwide transition to the Zoom UC platform and the standardisation of meeting rooms across every UK site. 

Premier Foods operates more than a dozen locations, spanning both corporate offices and active factory environments. Over time, meeting rooms across the estate had been implemented locally and ad hoc, without guidelines or a systemic mindset. This patchwork approach led to inconsistent setups, unreliable user experiences, and AV systems that were impossible for IT to support remotely. The lack of standardisation disrupted meetings and undermined user confidence. What the business needed was a clear strategic roadmap to unify their meeting room technology, support a seamless transition to Zoom, and future-proof AV across every site. 

Working closely with Premier Foods, we developed a strategic framework for hybrid AV meeting room standardisation that maintained consistency without losing the flexibility needed at a site level. 

This was not a one-size-fits-all rollout. With such a diverse portfolio – spanning Food Labs, factory floors, office environments, and financial hubs – the challenge was to approach the project thoughtfully. We needed to account for each site’s distinct operational needs while delivering a single, simplified and unified communications solution that worked seamlessly across all locations. 

The strategy was to deploy a simplified meeting room experience mapped to space types and use cases. This enabled fast, efficient rollouts while ensuring every system was familiar, intuitive, and easy to manage. Our BoomCare programme provided end-to-end support from installation through to long-term operation. 

As part of the preliminary works, we carefully considered the use cases and scope of the project by balancing operational needs, spatial constraints, and user expectations. We developed multiple solution options, which were put through a pre-qualification process and witness-tested in a controlled environment. This ensured every design recommendation had been validated for performance, usability, and suitability. Throughout, we worked closely with Premier Foods’ Senior Technical Delivery and IT teams along with key technology manufacturers to ensure the final solution met the desired standards across all operational contexts. 

We implemented a tiered system of Conference Room standards, tailored to room size and function. By introducing a consistent AV standard across all meeting room types and securing pre-qualification approval, we created the foundation for delivering professional, high-quality experiences nationwide. Careful project management and agile planning enabled rapid, confident deployment — while adapting seamlessly to new spaces, diverse sites, and evolving business needs. 

Each site was then equipped using a tiered suite of room types: 

• Office Townhalls and Factory Briefing Areas: Large-scale, multi-purpose rooms tailored for company-wide presentations, team briefings and executive video conferencing, designed for both corporate offices and operational environments 

• Boardrooms & Large Meeting Rooms: High-quality displays, advanced audio, and intuitive controls to support cross-functional collaboration 

• Medium Meeting Rooms: Scaled-down versions with the same reliability and user interface, optimised for day-to-day teamwork
